Numismatrix is downloaded straight from this site, with no account and no app store in between. Android will show a warning — that is expected, and this page explains exactly why and what to do.

Au moment d'ouvrir le fichier, Android affichera un message de ce genre :
Ce message ne signifie pas que le fichier est dangereux. Android l'affiche pour toute application qui n'arrive pas par le Play Store, quelle qu'elle soit — c'est une question de provenance, pas d'analyse du contenu. Le système ne connaît pas encore cette source et vous demande de confirmer que vous lui faites confiance.
Vous verrez peut-être aussi Play Protect signaler une « application non reconnue ». Même logique : Google n'a pas encore vu circuler ce fichier en grand nombre, il reste donc prudent. Un bouton « Installer quand même » ou « Plus de détails » permet de poursuivre.
Si votre téléphone vous propose d'analyser l'application avant de l'installer, acceptez. L'analyse dure quelques secondes, elle ne nous dérange pas — au contraire : c'est exactement ce que nous vous conseillerions de faire pour n'importe quel fichier téléchargé, d'où qu'il vienne. Numismatrix n'a rien à cacher à un antivirus.
Ne désactivez jamais Play Protect ni les protections de votre téléphone pour installer une application, la nôtre comprise. L'autorisation demandée ci-dessous est ponctuelle et se limite à une seule source : c'est tout ce dont vous avez besoin, et vos protections continuent de faire leur travail.
Cet avertissement disparaîtra à la sortie sur le Play Store, prévue fin 2026. Le téléchargement direct restera néanmoins disponible pour celles et ceux qui préfèrent se passer d'un compte Google.
When you open the file, Android will show a message along these lines:
This message does not mean the file is dangerous. Android shows it for any app that does not arrive through the Play Store, whatever that app is — it is about provenance, not about scanning the contents. The system does not yet know this source and asks you to confirm that you trust it.
You may also see Play Protect flag an "unrecognised app". Same logic: Google has not yet seen this file circulate widely, so it stays cautious. An "Install anyway" or "More details" button lets you continue.
If your phone offers to scan the app before installing it, accept. The scan takes a few seconds and we have no objection to it — quite the opposite: it is exactly what we would advise for any downloaded file, wherever it comes from. Numismatrix has nothing to hide from an antivirus.
Never switch off Play Protect or your phone's protections in order to install an app — ours included. The permission described below is granted to a single source and nothing else: that is all you need, and your protections keep doing their job.
This warning will disappear once the app is on the Play Store, planned for late 2026. Direct download will remain available for those who would rather not use a Google account.
L'installation en quatre étapesInstalling in four steps
Comptez moins de deux minutes. Les libellés varient un peu selon la marque du téléphone (Samsung, Xiaomi, Google Pixel…), mais la logique est partout la même.
Téléchargez le fichier
Depuis votre téléphone Android, appuyez sur le bouton de téléchargement de cette page. Le fichier Numismatrix-latest.apk arrive dans votre dossier Téléchargements. Votre navigateur peut demander une confirmation : acceptez.
Ouvrez-le
Appuyez sur la notification de fin de téléchargement, ou ouvrez l'application Fichiers puis Téléchargements et touchez le fichier. C'est ici qu'apparaît le message d'Android décrit plus haut.
Autorisez cette source
Appuyez sur Paramètres dans le message, puis activez « Autoriser depuis cette source ». Vous n'autorisez que l'application depuis laquelle vous avez ouvert le fichier — votre navigateur ou le gestionnaire de fichiers — et rien d'autre. Revenez ensuite en arrière : l'installation reprend là où elle s'était arrêtée.
Installez, puis ouvrez
Appuyez sur Installer, puis sur Ouvrir. Au premier lancement, Numismatrix vous fait créer un code PIN : il chiffre votre coffre et vous seul le connaissez. Notez-le — sans lui, personne ne peut ouvrir vos données, éditeur compris.
It takes under two minutes. Wording varies slightly by phone brand (Samsung, Xiaomi, Google Pixel…), but the logic is the same everywhere.
Download the file
From your Android phone, tap the download button on this page. The file Numismatrix-latest.apk lands in your Downloads folder. Your browser may ask for confirmation: accept.
Open it
Tap the download-complete notification, or open the Files app, go to Downloads and tap the file. This is where the Android message described above appears.
Allow this source
Tap Settings in the message, then turn on "Allow from this source". You are only allowing the app you opened the file from — your browser or file manager — and nothing else. Go back: the installation resumes where it left off.
Install, then open
Tap Install, then Open. On first launch, Numismatrix asks you to create a PIN: it encrypts your vault and you alone know it. Write it down — without it nobody can open your data, publisher included.

Trois garanties, de la plus simple à la plus technique :
- La source. Le fichier n'est distribué que depuis
numismatrix.com/android/, en HTTPS. Si l'adresse dans votre navigateur est autre, arrêtez-vous là. - La signature. L'application est signée avec la clé de son éditeur. Android vérifie cette signature à chaque mise à jour : un fichier modifié par un tiers serait refusé à l'installation par-dessus la version légitime. C'est la même clé que celle utilisée pour la future version Play Store, afin que vous puissiez passer de l'une à l'autre sans perdre votre coffre.
- Le comportement. Numismatrix ne demande aucun compte, aucune adresse email et aucune permission de localisation, de contacts ou de SMS. Si une version prétendue de l'app vous en réclame, ce n'est pas la nôtre.
Three guarantees, from the simplest to the most technical:
- The source. The file is served only from
numismatrix.com/android/, over HTTPS. If the address in your browser says anything else, stop there. - The signature. The app is signed with its publisher's key. Android checks that signature on every update: a file altered by a third party would be refused when installing over the legitimate version. It is the same key as the forthcoming Play Store build, so you can move from one to the other without losing your vault.
- The behaviour. Numismatrix asks for no account, no email address and no location, contacts or SMS permission. If something claiming to be the app asks you for those, it is not ours.

Mettre à jour
L'application vous signale elle-même les nouvelles versions. Pour mettre à jour, téléchargez le fichier depuis cette page et installez-le par-dessus : votre collection est conservée, il n'y a rien à sauvegarder au préalable ni à désinstaller. Android reconnaît la signature et remplace simplement l'ancienne version.
Quand l'app sera sur le Play Store
La version Play Store est signée avec la même clé : vous pourrez installer la mise à jour par-dessus votre installation actuelle, sans désinstaller et sans perdre vos données. Les deux canaux resteront ouverts, et une licence achetée en direct reste valable quel que soit le canal.
Désinstaller
Comme n'importe quelle application, depuis les paramètres Android. Attention : la désinstallation efface le coffre local, puisque rien n'est stocké ailleurs. Exportez votre archive .nmx avant, depuis Profil → Exporter le coffre.
Updating
The app tells you when a new version is out. To update, download the file from this page and install it over the top: your collection is preserved, with nothing to back up beforehand and nothing to uninstall. Android recognises the signature and simply replaces the older version.
When the app reaches the Play Store
The Play Store build is signed with the same key: you will be able to install it over your current installation, without uninstalling and without losing your data. Both channels will stay open, and a licence bought directly remains valid on either.
Uninstalling
Like any app, from the Android settings. Be aware that uninstalling erases the local vault, since nothing is stored anywhere else. Export your .nmx archive first, from Profile → Export vault.

« Application non installée »
Presque toujours l'un de ces trois cas : le téléchargement s'est interrompu — reprenez-le ; il reste une ancienne version signée différemment — désinstallez-la après avoir exporté votre archive ; ou l'espace de stockage est insuffisant.
Je ne trouve pas le fichier téléchargé
Ouvrez l'application Fichiers (ou Mes fichiers sur Samsung), rubrique Téléchargements. Le fichier s'appelle Numismatrix-latest.apk.
Le bouton « Installer » est grisé
L'autorisation de l'étape 3 n'a pas été accordée à la bonne application. Retournez dans Paramètres → Applications → Accès spécifiques → Installer des applications inconnues, et autorisez celle depuis laquelle vous ouvrez le fichier.
Mon téléphone n'est pas sous Android
Numismatrix n'existe pas encore sur iOS. Le portage iPhone et tablette sera financé par une campagne Kickstarter début 2027 : inscrivez-vous à la liste d'attente pour être prévenu.
Rien de tout cela ne marche
Écrivez-nous à hello@numismatrix.app en précisant la marque et le modèle du téléphone ainsi que la version d'Android. Réponse sous 48 heures ouvrées.
"App not installed"
Almost always one of three things: the download was interrupted — start it again; an older, differently signed version is still present — uninstall it after exporting your archive; or storage space is insufficient.
I can't find the downloaded file
Open the Files app (or My Files on Samsung) and go to Downloads. The file is called Numismatrix-latest.apk.
The "Install" button is greyed out
The permission from step 3 was granted to the wrong app. Go back to Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps and allow the one you are opening the file from.
My phone isn't Android
Numismatrix does not exist on iOS yet. The iPhone and tablet port will be funded by a Kickstarter campaign in early 2027: join the waitlist to be notified.
